On Sunday, October 2, DA Speech & Debate traveled to Stoneleigh-Burnham School for the annual SBS Public Speaking Tournament. Competing against twelve schools in three events—interpretive reading, impromptu speaking, and persuasive speaking—the team of Justin Ahn ’24, Isaac Bakare ’24, Lily Pierce ’25, and Avery Zakowich ’25 took third place overall.
Lily placed second in interpretive reading and third in overall points scored. Justin placed first in impromptu! Great speaking all around!
