Nearly 10 million Americans are unemployed¹. Now imagine you are one of them. Your savings are gone. You’ve lost your house. And you are down to your last $1000. Can you make it through the month?² Take 15 minutes out of your Friday night to come to the Greer to play Spent, an online, interactive empathy building game that highlights the tough decisions many people face daily as they grapple with the reality of food and housing insecurity. Deerfield Academy will make a monetary donation in the name of the night’s winner to the local nonprofit organization of their choice that addresses issues of food insecurity, homelessness and/or poverty in Western Massachusetts.
