Deerfield Academy will celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, January 17, 2022 with a full day of activities related to the theme: “Belonging”. An essential component of MLK Jr. Day is when our campus unites to deepen our knowledge, understanding, and cultural competency through community workshops. These workshops are designed, facilitated, and led by students, employees, or guest speakers. This email is to invite DA community members to submit workshop ideas!
In addition to addressing this year’s theme, we welcome workshops that are related to current issues, events, or the Academy’s core values. Community workshops are scheduled to run for 90 minutes and will be presented once during the morning program to a group of students. Please note that student-run workshops require an adult co-facilitator.
