DA Speech and Debate: Victories at BB&N

On Sunday, December 6, the DA Speech & Debate team competed in their sixth tournament this season “at” Buckingham Browne & Nichols (all tournaments this year have been via Zoom—a new format for all!).* This tournament featured competition in three rounds: parliamentary debate, interpretive reading, and impromptu speaking.

Emma Haddock ’21 took 1st place in interpretive reading (Emma’s second victory this year—she took 1st place in impromptu speaking at Stoneleigh-Burnham).

Jing He ’21 took 1st in impromptu speaking.

Tony He ’22 took 3rd overall.

DA took 3rd place overall in the advanced division, trailing St. Paul’s and BB&N.
