The Gender and Consent Committee is a group of adults who are looking to have students join them in their work. The mission of the Gender and Consent Committee is to celebrate, question, probe and discuss issues of gender. This committee is responsible for fostering dialogue and self-reflection amongst students about the role of gender in their lives and their experiences at Deerfield Academy.
This group will also plan events or activities to raise awareness about all sorts of issues related to health, consent, and other topics. The first initiative for the year is to participate in Movember. You don’t have to grow a mustache to participate in this event, everyone in the community can get involved.
