As we look with anticipation to the coming school year, I extend to each of you the warmest of welcomes. I am incredibly excited for the fall, and I am looking forward to meeting you in just a couple of weeks.

Students have been traveling abroad with Deerfield’s Center for Service and Global Citizenship this summer in Spain, France, South Korea, and Croatia, Bosnia, & Serbia. CSGC travel programs challenge students to consider new perspectives, and they serve as extensions of Deerfield courses, enriching and applying lessons learned in the classroom. New Dorm Named in Honor of Dr. Curtis

Dr. Margarita O’ Byrne Curtis—Deerfield Academy’s 55th Head of School—retires this spring. On Friday, Board President Brian Simmons P’12,’14 announced at a school celebration for Dr. Curtis that an anonymous donor has renamed New Dorm to O’Byrne Curtis in honor of her 13 years of service as Head of School.
