Deerfield varsity field hockey team placed 2 players, Tierney Roche ’18 and Meaghan O’Brien ’18, on the Western New England Preparatory School Field Hockey Association All-Star team.
As junior classmates, Tierney and Meaghan, were consistent players for the Big Green all season. Both were fierce competitors who worked hard and dedicated themselves to raising their game to the next level.
As a forward, Tierney was selected to the All-Star team for her strength, speed, and her impressive ability to transfer the ball into the offensive end and create scoring opportunities for both herself and her teammates.
As a defender, Meaghan was selected for her stellar ability to see the field, step to the ball, and win one-on-one defensive battles all over the field.
