Big Green rowers qualified to compete in the US Rowing Youth National Championship on Sunday, June 11, 2023. The men’s youth 2V 8+, the men’s youth 1V 8+ boat and the women’s youth 1V 8+ boat will all compete in their respective A final championship races.
The 2023 US Rowing Youth Championship is hosted at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, FL. The event includes 36 events and this year’s event is the largest ever with 835 entries from 225 clubs across the country bringing in just over 4,000 athletes.
This year, the Big Green returned to Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, FL for the 2023 US Rowing Youth National Championships. The Big Green boys 1V and 2V 8+ crews and the girls 1V 8+ boat qualified for the national event by winning the New England Interscholastic Rowing Association Championship.
At Nationals, each Big Green boat qualified through the time trials and semifinal races for the upcoming championship race.
