Summer Recap: US Squash Announces Scholar Athlete Award Winners

The countdown to the first fall 2018 game day continues and today we celebrate several Deerfield Squash players for their achievements in the classroom and on the squash court.

Last week on September 5th, US Squash announced the recipients of the 2017-2018 US Squash Scholar Athlete Award.  Three Deerfield student-athletes; Harbour Woodward ’19, Isabella Rolfe ’21 and Teddy Durfee ’19, were all recipients of the this year’s award.

This year marks the third consecutive year that Harbour Woodward and Teddy Durfee have received this award.  It is the second year that Isabella Rolfe has received the award.

As stated by US Squash, the US Squash Scholar Athlete Award annually recognizes high school students who excel in both the classroom and on the squash court.  The award recognizes high school students who have a 3.5 or higher GPA at the end of the school year and have played in four US Squash accredited singles tournaments, or an approved number of US Squash Scholastic Squash Program (SSP) matches between April 1, 2017 to May 31, 2018.

Award winners receive an invitation to attend the 2018 US Open Squash Championships in October.

Congratulations to Harbour, Teddy & Isabella!

Go Big Green!
