The boys and girls squash teams will travel to Connecticut tomorrow to compete in The HEAD 2017 U.S. High School Team Championships this weekend. The event returns to New England this year and matches will be hosted by 5 different sites.
The boys varsity team will travel to the Westminster School in Simsbury, CT and take on 2-time defending National Champions the Brunswick Bruins on court #7 in the opening round of the Boys’ I Bracket to contend for the Justi Cup on Friday, 2/10 at 2:15pm. The winner of the opening match will play the winner of the Noble & Greenough vs. Hotchkiss match on Saturday, 2/11 at 10:00am. The Big Green will head into National Championship action with a record of 6-2 on the season and will challenge the perfect 9-0 Bruins.
The girls will be competing at nearby Avon Old Farms in Avon, CT for the Girls’ I Bracket Patterson Cup. The girls enter the tournament seeded #3 in the country. They will face Exeter in the opening round of the National Championship on Friday, 2/10 at 3:00pm. The Big Green will test their perfect 8-0 record against the 9-3 Exeter Big Red. The winner of the opening round match will face the winner of the Winsor vs. Lawrenceville match on Saturday, 2/11 at 11:00am.
