Last week, on Thursday, May 16 the Deerfield girls and boys JV lacrosse teams traded sticks and combined teams for their second annual intersquad scrimmage.
It was a back-and-forth game with both teams creating offensive opportunities while conversely big defensive stops were made. The coaches coordinated the match-up and Coaches Otterson and Barbato officiated the contest.
Following the game, coaches and teammates voted Luke Terry ’20 and Kate Stenger ’22 as the game’s MVPs.
The intersquad scrimmage proved good luck as both the girls and boys JV lacrosse team’s concluded their 2019 seasons each defeating Exeter at home.
This season, the girls JV lacrosse squad posted a 10-1 record and the boys JV lacrosse team was 11-3 overall this spring.
