Five Wrestlers Earn Medals & Hayden Repeats as Class A Champion

On Saturday at the Class A Championships hosted by Exeter Academy, five wrestlers earned medals and Henry Hayden ’18 captured the 120-lb title to repeat as the Class A Champion.

En route to capturing his second consecutive title, Hayden defeated his opponent from St. Paul’s to whom he had lost 10-0 just three weeks earlier.

John Chung ‘20, Conrad Freire ‘18, Ben Hirsch ‘18, Chris Thagard ‘20, and Justice Chukwuma ’18 all earned medals at the championships. John Chung finished with the silver in the 113-lb weight class. Conrad Freire (132-lb) and Chris Thagard (152-lb) each finished in 5th place in their respective weight classes while, Ben Hirsch (145-lb) and Justice Chukwuma (182-lb) each earned 6th place finishes.
