Doors of the Week

Congratulations to this week’s Doors of the Week!

Softball: Esther Lee ’25
The door of the week for softball is Esther Lee. Esther has an incredible drive and enthusiasm for learning. Although she is new to the sport she learns quickly and throws herself into drills, already diving for ground balls and hitting line drives. Additionally, her friendly and can-do attitude make her a fantastic addition to the team.

Baseball: Nate Watson ’26
Nate had an outstanding trip to Florida and has impressed our coaches with his rapid skill development and his energy every day at practice. Nate has pounded the zone with strikes on the mound, has been a vacuum in the outfield, and has really begun to swing the bat as well. Keep up the great work, Watty!

Girls Varsity Water Polo: Jazmine Wilson Bigornia ’25
Whether playing relentless defense at the 2-meter position, scoring on vital penalty shots, or calmly making the game-winning goal with the clock winding down in overtime, Jazmine Wilson Bigornia ’25 rises to the challenge. More importantly, she trusts in herself and her teammates.

Girls Varsity Track & Field: Alex Hermsdorf ’25 and Katherine Ni ’26
This week the Girls’ Track and Field Team has two doors of the week. These athletes have been the definition of team players from the start. They have not only leaned into warm ups and drills, but they have stepped up when we needed them. Both of these athletes said absolutely when asked to try hurdles with no prior experience. These two embody the track and field spirit by embracing a variety of events and are role models for the entire team. For their energy, positivity, and leadership, this week’s Girls’ Track and Field Doors of the Week are Alex Hermsdorf and Katherine Ni.

Boys Varsity Tennis: Ethan Li ’25
Junior Ethan Li, in his second year as captain of boys varsity tennis, has earned this week’s DOTW nomination. Ethan works hard day in and day out in practice and shows tremendous competitiveness during matches. Playing at the top of the lineup in both singles and doubles, Ethan always faces a tough opponent, and so far has forced top prep school players to play their best tennis in order to defeat him. However, in his latest match, Ethan clinched the first ever double bagel of his career, defeating his KO opponent 6-0, 6-0.

Go Big Green!
