Congratulations to this week’s Doors of the Week!
Performing Arts: Ms. Karen St. Pierre
Three weeks ago Karen St. Pierre our school costumer was asked to make masks for employees because they were unable to buy any at that time. Karen came to campus to gather materials from our costume room, and then worked tirelessly for two weeks to supply our school community with urgently-needed masks. This heroic effort was above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you Karen for your contributions. Karen bleeds green!
Advanced Chamber Ensemble: Sean Kim ’21
Sean is a member of the Advanced Chamber Music class and the Deerfield Orchestra. He founded Fine Arts for All, which has recently began offering music and art lessons free of charge to anyone in the world in response to the Covid-19 epidemic. The mission of the organization: “Fine Arts for All is dedicated to making art and music more accessible. We work to bring instruction in the fine arts to places where they might not otherwise reach. It is our core belief that art should be equitable and available to everyone regardless of age or socio-economic status.”
Softball: Diana Bishopp ’23 & Kaitlin McKenna ‘21
Diana Bishopp and Kaitlin McKenna created an Instagram account for the softball team this spring and they post different drills and exercises to the account for teammates to check out. It’s been a great way for the team to stay connected! Thank you, Diana and Kaitlin!
