Deerfield Divers Make a Splash at New England Championship

On Wednesday, February 28^th, four Deerfield divers competed the New England Preparatory School Swimming and Diving Association Diving Championships hosted by Suffield Academy.

At her first NEPSSA Championship, Gage Calhoun ’27 led the way for the Big Green finishing in second place overall in the girls championship event and earned 17 points for the Big Green with her silver medal. Fellow teammate, Kayleen Tang ’25 earned 13 points for the Doors with her sixth place finish. Overall, the girls divers amassed a total of 30 points setting the team in second place heading into this weekend’s swimming championship.

In the boys competition, senior Toler Poole earned a bronze medal with his strong dives. He collected 16 points putting the boys team in fourth place to start the weekend’s swimming championship.
