Behind four goals from junior Andrew Penner ’18, the DA boys varsity water polo team notched their third win of the season, defeating Hopkins by a score of 7-3. All seven big green goals came in the first half as sophomore Henry Lowe ’19 netted two of his own while senior Jeffrey Sun ’17 scored once.
On the defensive end, sophomore goalies Graham O’Brien ’19 and Zo Williams ‘19 put in an impressive performance, combining to make nine saves on the day while limiting their opponents to a season best three goals against.
With more attacking threats and a commitment to playing strong defense, the team hopes to carry the momentum into Saturday’s match at home against Hotchkiss as they aim to work their way up the league standings.
