Boys Varsity Hockey Earns Road Win at Exeter

On Saturday, the boys varsity hockey team traveled to Exeter for their second game of the weekend. The Big Green prevailed over the home team for the victory, 2-1.

After the first period the game remained scoreless. The Big Green opened the scoring in the second period to take the early 1-0 lead. Ryan McHugh ’23 netted the first goal Big Green goal of the game with an assist to Tom Molson ‘24.

Exeter scored the equalizing goal early in the third period.

The Big Green responded later in the third period with another goal regain the lead. Jackson Coutu ’22 scored the eventual game winning goal; assists to Paul Forbes ’22 and Drew Garzone ‘23.

In goal, Jake Fillion ’22 made 22 saves in the game for the win.

The Big Green return to action on Wednesday when they host Kent at 4:15pm. Wednesday’s home game kicks-off the team’s final three-game home series of the regular season.
