On Saturday, the boys varsity squash team returned to action after a pause in their 2018-2019 schedule for the winter break. The Big Green earned a big 5-2 win in their opening 2019 contest on the road against a talented Belmont Hill squad.
In the even match-ups, after falling in the first game #2 Merritt Wurts ’21 rallied to earn three straight victories for the 3-1 win. At the #4, Adrian Todd ’21 won his first game then went on to exchange games with his opponent and ultimately lost a close match, 2-3. #6 Charles Braff ’21 decisively defeated his opponent in three straight games for the victory.
Next up, the odd match-ups were led by #1 Chait Shah ‘19 who defeated his opponent in three straight games. Fellow classmate, #3 Teddy Durfee also earned a decisive 3-0 victory. Max Geraci ’19 valiantly prevailed, 3-2, at the #6 spot after exchanging games with his opponent. #7 Freddy Manning ’21 was outlasted by his opponent, 0-3 in closely contested games.
