Forest graduated from Tufts University in 1995, where he earned a BS in astrophysics and raced bicycles with the cycling team. After earning an MS in physics from Brown University in 2001, he began teaching and discovered how much he loved teaching mathematics in addition to physics and computer science. He joined Deerfield in 2017 to teach math, coach the math club, and be an assistant coach for the cycling team. He lives with his family in DeNunzio.
