Isabella Ordonez ’24 and Sophia Wolbach ’23, share the groups last day at UAL: Central Saint Martins.
Early in the morning we got out of bed and headed to a tour of the University of Arts London. There, we meet our wonderful tour guide who took us through multiple exhibits containing pieces made by students at UAL. We passed by multiple studios of differing art departments, such as architecture, animation, jewelry, fashion, and more. We were enamored by the creative genius and presentations of all the student work. Afterwards, we headed to class where we met a new friendly face, Sally.
Today we started work on our final project, a piece condensing all the knowledge we’ve learned from our teacher, Rochelle. Sally assisted us throughout our creative process as we began to form the beginnings of our final masterpieces. After class, we got ready for a fancy dinner with the head of Deerfield trustees. We had a delicious dinner, a three course meal, and we had wonderful conversations at our tables. After that, we said our goodbyes and we headed back to the hotel to take a well-deserved rest and prepare for our final day in London.
