The Bahamas #1: From Snow to Sand!

This morning, The Bahamas travel program departed from Deerfield’s quiet and snowy campus to begin their travels to Eleuthera. For the next week, the students and trip leaders: Robin Lempicki and Caroline Savage will be based out of the Cape Eleuthera Institute.

Through daily learning activities and  field excursions, students and faculty will explore the rich biodiversity in Eleuthera while contextualizing their observations within the realities of culture and the challenges of sustainability. While this trip is “unplugged” (students will not have access to cell phones or internet during the trip), we look forward to reading their reflections on Deerfield’s Notes From Abroad website and the Deerfield’s Bulletin.
