Panama #1: The Trip Departs!

12 Deerfield students, Heidi Valk, and Elliot Sakach are on their way to Panama to begin their time spent exploring scientific research processes, communities, and environmental conservation! During their time in Panama, students will visit Panama City to see the Canal locks and explore the surroundings of the Gamboa region. After visiting the Gamboa region, students will travel to the Mamoní Valley Preserve reserve in the Guna Yala region of the country were they will have the opportunity for hands-on research, exploration, and community interaction.

We look forward to reading their stories on The Bulletin or on the Notes From Abroad site where you will find blogs from all four of our March Travel Programs.
