Deerfield’s housing system is not a straight lottery. It is a hybrid process that weighs randomly assigned numbers, student requests, and an interest in heterogeneity across halls.

Returning students may sign up as singles or in groups of two or three.

Please record the halls you’d like to live on next year in order of preference (example: McAlister 1, J. Louis 1 N, Barton 3, John Williams etc.). At least SEVEN are required, but you may list more. Remember: The more options you provide, the more likely you are to be housed on a hall of your choice.
