Senior Emma’23 organized a day of STEM exploration for local middle school girls on March 25. During the event, students learned about civil engineering and the engineering design process by building balsa wood towers. They heard from female engineers about possible career paths and what it’s like being a woman in STEM. This event was sponsored and supported by the National Academy of Engineering’s EngineerGirl Program and hosted by Deerfield Academy.
