On January 29, to mark the 100th anniversary of the Choate/Deerfield relationship, over 200 students from Deerfield Academy and Choate spent the day learning and performing music together to celebrate the power of creative collaboration. Students from both schools formed a combined string orchestra, chorus, jazz ensemble, and concert band, and pianists from both schools learned and performed pieces for four, six, and eight hands. Each ensemble worked with world-renowned guest clinicians and conductors throughout the day, culminating in a public performance together.
