Weekend Preview: Deerfield Teams Head to St. Paul’s

On Saturday, October 7th, eleven Deerfield teams will travel to Concord, New Hampshire to take on the Big Red of St. Paul’s, marking the first Deerfield/St. Paul’s day. Games will begin at 3:15pm with JV teams in action and the day will conclude after the Boys Varsity Soccer team kicks off at 6:00pm.

Girls JV Soccer @ 3:15 pm
On Saturday, the Girls JV squad will look to improve upon their 2-2-1 record this season. Coming off a tough 1-2 loss on Wednesday to Williston, the team hopes to get back to their winning ways. DA will face a strong St Paul’s side that remains a perfect 5-0 on the season. With a high powered offense, St’ Paul’s has scored 17 goals through five games. Deerfield will look to limit St Paul’s offensive chances on Saturday in the hopes of ending their unbeaten streak.

Boys JV Soccer @ 3:15 pm
Led by their high powered offense, who has recorded 15 goals through five games, the Boys JV Soccer team will look to get back into the win column after a hard fought tie against Berkshire on Wednesday. Facing a St. Paul’s side with an overall record of 2-1-1, DA is looking for a victory to close out their three game away stretch. The team will return home next Wednesday when they host Westminster in a 3:00pm game.

JV Volleyball @ 3:15 pm
JV Volleyball will look to continue their success on the road as they currently are in the mists of a five game away stretch. Coming in with a 2-1 season record, Deerfield will look to measure up against an experienced St Paul’s squad that is already 4-1 on the season.

JV Field Hockey @ 3:15 pm
JV Field Hockey will look to carry their momentum from Wednesday’s big road win against NMH into Saturday’s game. With an overall record 2-1, DA will face a good St. Paul’s squad that enters the contest with a record of 3-1. Saturday’s game will complete Deerfield’s two game away stretch as they will return home next Wednesday for a game vs. NMH.

Coed JV Cross Country @ 4:00 pm
JV Girls Cross Country looks to continue their success from last weekend when seven DA girls finished in the top ten and the team took first out of the field of eight teams. The JV Boys squad also hopes to top their impressive showing from last weekend as well when they had seven runner crack the top 10. On Saturday, the Deerfield Girls and Boys JV Cross Country team will look to test themselves against strong St. Paul’s squads.

Varsity Field Hockey @ 4:15 pm (Livestream)
Varsity Field Hockey comes into Saturday’s contest on a three game win streak with the most recent win coming from Wednesday’s convincing 6-2 win over NMH. Saturday’s game should be very evenly matched with Deerfield coming in with an overall record of 5-1 and St Paul’s holding a 6-1 record this season. Girls Varsity Soccer @ 4:15 pm
Still looking for their first win of the season, Girls Varsity Soccer is eager for the game against St. Paul’s on Saturday. Coming off a great week of practice, the girls are poised and ready to take it to St. Paul’s. The game on Saturday will wrap up a four game away stretch for the team as they return home on Wednesday for a 2:30pm game vs. NMH.

Varsity Volleyball @ 4:15 pm (Livestream)
Varsity Volleyball has enjoyed success early on in their season. Coming into the match with an overall record of 5-3, Deerfield will face a strong St. Paul’s team that currently holds a record of 4-1. DA is in the middle of a four game away stretch that will continue next week when the team travels to NMH and Hopkins. The match on Saturday at St. Paul’s will be livestreamed here.

Girls Varsity Cross Country @ 4:30 pm
Coming off stellar first place performances in both the Canterbury Invitational and the Westminster Invitational, the Girls Varsity Cross Country team looks to continue this success in the dual meet part of their season. At the Westminster Invitational, Deerfield had five runners fished in the top ten and accumulated only 26 points, beating out the rest of the field of eight teams. The team will look to put their training to the test against a strong St. Paul’s squad who has been successful early in their season.

Boys Varsity Cross Country @ 5:00 pm
The Boys Varsity Cross Country team will look to build upon their success from the Westminster Invitational last week when they took the top spot on the podium and had four runners in the top ten. After a great week of training, the team will go head to head against a good St. Paul’s team, as Saturday’s meet will mark the start of the dual meet season.

Boys Varsity Soccer @ 6:00pm (Livestream)
Coming off of a tough Wednesday loss to a strong Berkshire team, the Boys Varsity Soccer team will look to bounce back on Saturday against St. Paul’s in a rare 6:00pm night game that will take place under the lights. Saturday’s game will finish a three game away stretch for the team as they return to their home field on Wednesday against Westminster. The game on Saturday at St. Paul’s will be livestreamed here.
