On Wednesday, April 17, Big Green spring teams collectively posted an overall record of 13-4. The varsity and JV golf teams led the way, each posting double wins on the day in their respective tri-matches.
Varsity golf defeated both Williston and Wilbraham & Monson Academy with a team score of 187. With the double victory, the Big Green improve to 5-0 on the season.
The JV golf team also defeated both their opponents – Avon and Kingswood-Oxford – with a score of 209.
The lacrosse teams earned another sweep of their opponents. The girls varsity and JV teams both earned commanding wins by defeating neighboring NMH by scores of 16-2 and 12-1 respectively. The boys varsity lacrosse team jumped ahead to an early lead to defeat visiting Trinity-Pawling, 14-9 and the boys JV lacrosse team secured a 9-3 over Longmeadow High School.
In the pool, girls varsity water traveled to Hamden, CT and came away with a 12-9 victory over Hamden Hall.
Varsity baseball took on Worcester Academy on the road and earned a 4-2 victory over the Hilltoppers.
On the tennis courts, both the girls and boys varsity tennis teams earned wins over their opponents. Girls varsity and JV tennis both earned shutout wins over visiting Suffield, 9-0 and 7-0 respectively. Meanwhile, the boys varsity tennis team traveled down I-91 to Loomis Chaffee and walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Pelicans.
