Two Deerfield track & field athletes, Dallas Hobbs and Felicia Renelus, earned NEPSAC All-Star and All-NEPSAC accolades for their accomplishments this 2017 season. Both students were 3-sport varsity athletes this year for the green and white — Dallas represented the Big Green on the football, basketball and track & field teams and Felicia was a part of the girls soccer, girls basketball and track & field teams.

Boys’ NEPSAC All Star & All-NEPSAC: Dallas Hobbs
Dallas won the shot put in every meet we held this year, setting a new PR of 58’ 1” with his last throw at the New England Championships where he took home our only boys’ event title. He scored the most points of any member of our boys’ team, thanks to all those first-place finishes and an almost equal effort in the discus. Learning that event this year, Dallas still managed to win the discus in all but two of our meets, falling short only to the eventual New England champion (to whom he finished second on both occasions). Dallas graduates as our #2 all-time thrower in both the shot put and discus throws.
Girls’ NEPSAC All-Star & All-NEPSAC: Felicia Renelus
Felicia led our team throughout the season, scoring the most points of any girl and competing across several different events. She earned Deerfield’s only girls’ event title at New Englands by winning the long jump with a mammoth school record leap of 18’ 7.75”, a personal best by more than a foot. In addition to that sterling effort, Felicia ran 2nd on our 4x400m relay team all season long, anchored our 4x100m relay, and threw the javelin in a number of meets, including at New Englands where she finished 10th overall.
