Rowing Starts Season Strong in Opening Races

In the opening races of their 2017 season, the boys and girls rowing teams started their respective campaigns with strong performances on Lake Quinsigamond last Saturday.  The boys raced against Brooks, St. Mark’s, and Vermont Academy with all 4 of the top boats finishing in 1st place. On the girls side, the 1st and 2nd boats finished in 1st place followed by the 3rd boat in 3rd place and the 4th boat in 5th place. The girls competed against Brooks, Greenwich Academy, Newton Country Day, and St. Mark’s.

Last Saturday marked a great day of competitive racing against strong opponents! The teams were back to work this week in the Pioneer Valley in preparation for this weekend’s upcoming races at the Pomfret Quad. The boys varsity, girls varsity and novice teams will all travel to Pomfret this weekend for their races. The varsity races are scheduled to start at 2pm and the novice races will shortly follow at 2:30pm.
