On Saturday, all four Deerfield lacrosse teams traveled to Wallingford, CT to face-off against rival Choate Rosemary Hall in a spring version of Choate Day. The Big Green emerged victorious, with all four teams capturing wins and the two JV teams earning shutout victories.
The girls varsity lacrosse team jumped ahead to an early lead over the Wild Boars and never looked back in route to posting a 17-9 victory and earned their second win of the season.
Both the boys and girls JV lacrosse teams had strong offensive and defensive performances on the day. The girls JV lacrosse team posted 9-0 victory and the boys JV lacrosse team won 20-0.
The boys varsity lacrosse team completed the sweep with a 8-6 victory in a closely contested game that came down to the final minutes of play. With the victory, they improve their season record to 4-1.
All four lacrosse teams will be back in action this Wednesday, April 20 at home. The girls varsity and JV teams will face-off against neighboring NMH at 2:30pm. The boys varsity lacrosse team will host Trinity Pawling at 3:30pm. Longmeadow High School will travel down I-91 to play our boys JV lacrosse team at 4:00pm.
