DA Crews Shine at NEIRA

The Boys and Girls Crews distinguished themselves at the 2012 NEIRA Championships on Lake Quinsigamond, Worcester MA. In a heats and finals format, the girls qualified their first and second boats for the Grand Final, eventually finishing 6th and 5th respectively. The Boys qualified all four boats for the Grand Finals and finished on the podium in three of the four events: 4th boat, 4th; 3rd boat, 3rd; 2nd boat, 3rd; 1st boat, 2nd. In the race for the team title, the boys finished second to Belmont Hill and just a point ahead of rival Choate. In addition, the first boat, as a result of their second place finish, qualified for the Youth National Championships to be contested in Oakridge, TN on June 8-10th. Well Rowed Deerfield!
