Boys Water Polo Wins Fourth Quarter for Victory

On Wednesday, the boys water polo team briefly traveled down I-91 to neighboring Williston Northampton School and prevailed over the Wildcats in the fourth quarter for the road victory, 10-9.

Entering half time the Big Green trailed the Wildcats by a goal 7-6. The Doors rallied in the third quarter to hold the Wildcats to only one goal while the Big Green registered two goals of their own and leveled the score. In the fourth quarter the Big Green scored another two goals and took the lead until the final whistle.

Alex Volkman ’23 led the scoring for the Big Green, registering four goals in the game. He was followed by HD Lee ’24 and Will Hill ’24 who each notched two goals. Daniel Wareham ’24 and Bendeguz Levai ‘24malso added to the score line with a goal apiece.

In goal for the Big Green, Kenan Cakir made 13 saves to help secure the victory.

With Wednesday’s win, the Big Green improve to 9-3 this season. The squad will travel to Exeter this Saturday to face-off against the Big Red. Tune in to watch on Exeter’s livestream.
