On Saturday, the boys and girls varsity squash teams each earned wins over Exeter Academy to kick off their 2023 schedule of contests.
The boys varsity squash team traveled to Exeter for a double-header against Exeter and Belmont Hill. The Big Green emerged victorious, earning a 7-0 win over host Exeter and a 6-1 victory against Belmont Hill. Against the Big Red of Exeter, the Doors did not drop a game.
With the two New Year victories, the boys varsity squash team remains undefeated through the first four matches of their regular season.
Hosting at home, the girls varsity squash team faced off against Exeter and Sacred Heart in back-to-back matches. The Big Green defeated Exeter, 7-0. Against Sacred Heart, Alyssa Ho ‘25 and Khadija Elhaddad ’26 playing the #1 and #2 each earned victories over their opponents, but ultimately the team fell 2-5 to the visitors.
With Saturday’s win, the Big Green girls varsity squash team improved their early season record to 2-2.
The boys varsity squash team returns to action this Wednesday, January 11, when they welcome top-ranked Kent School for a 4:00pm match. Tune in to watch on the livestream (Courts 1 & 2 and Courts 3 & 4).
