Deerfield Girls 3rds Squash continued their season with a 7-0 win against Suffield on Wednesday, along with wins in exhibition matches #8, 9, and 10. Several players made their debut, including Emsy Pfeifler and Olivia Baker. The team showcased their abilities with strong footwork, quality shots, and a sense of camaraderie and perseverance that carried them to the win.
Highlights include Kayleen Cho’s game five comeback from down 10-3 to win the match, as well as Nina Chen serving eight straight points to win her second game. Neva Navab also played a fierce four game match that she won through pure stamina and drive.
The team were a great cheering section both for each other and for quality play on the other side of the court. With good sportsmanship they kept the energy up and the games light and fun. With this strong second win on the season, Deerfield looks to Andover on Saturday in hopes to continue their winning ways.
