On Wednesday, the varsity volleyball team traveled to Loomis for a playday against 5 other schools.

It was a scrimmage, so the matches were timed and unofficial, but it was great to face off against other schools and work through the initial logistics and emotions of traveling and playing other schools. Deerfield tried a number of different line-ups and player positions, and everyone did a nice job stepping up and making adjustments that allowed them to be successful wherever they were on the court. We have areas where we need to continue to grow, but we also have a solid foundation and a great path forward.

On Saturday, we open our league season with home matches against Austin Prep and NMH. First serve against Austin Prep is at 1:00pm in the Barn followed by NMH v. Austin Prep and then Deerfield takes on NMH around 4:00pm.
