With much anticipation, the Big Green (finally!) hosted their home opening game of the fall 2024 season on Saturday vs. Pomfret and came away with a 0-0 tie. The Big Green controlled much of the possession and pace of the game, but could not break through the Pomfret defense. Simultaneously, the Big Green defense extended their shutout streak to two games by turning away and neutralizing all of the chances created by the Griffins. With the result, the Big Green improve to 2-1-2 on the season and will continue their homestand this Wednesday on Jamie Kapteyn field when they face I-91 rival Williston Northampton. Kick-off is set for 3pm.
