Deerfield boys soccer faced of against Brunswick boys soccer on saturday September 21st, 2024 at Brunswick. The Green got off to a blazing start with a hat trick from interim captain Jack Dvorin ‘25. He scored on a free kick assisted drawn by Felix Alfaro ‘27, on a incredible shot from the top right of the box assisted by captain Jonny Scagel ‘25, and on a header from Teddy Cyr ‘27. The boys lead 3-0 for the first 40 until Brunswick scored to make it 3-1 right before the half. After halftime, Brunswick came out hot playing an aggresive attacking style that allowed them to tie up the game and then get to a 4-3 lead with 20 minutes to go. Fortunately, Teddy Cyr ‘27 was able to get one in the back of the net from Scagel ‘25 to make it a tough 4-4 draw.
