This past Wednesday, September 18th Deerfield hosted Pomfret on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon. Although Deerfield took a bit to get going, we controlled the ball for the most of the the first quarter but were unable to capitalize. With 4:58 remaining in the first quarter, Ilsa Borgen ’26 hit a nice ball that was deflected into the net. Once on the board, in the remainder of the second half there was a strong effort and attack from our offensive and midfield unit, tallying two more goals from Chloe Cleaves ’26 and Vivian Monopoli ’26. Halfway into the third quarter, Reagan Deery ’28 found the back of the net off of a beautiful hit from Lilly Oliver ’26 at the top of the circle. Overall, this was a hard-fought game and a full team effort from the big green. We look forward to hosting Hotchkiss for our next game on Saturday the 21st.
