Deerfield traveled to Exeter on Saturday to play the Big Red. The play was back and forth and Exeter executed a strong passing game and showed great discipline with their sticks. Deerfield’s defense did a great job stopping Exeter’s corner opportunities and drew a few offensive corners in the first half, but the game remained scoreless after 30 minutes of play. After regrouping at the half, Deerfield’s offense capitalized on a corner after Chloe Cleaves ’26 put away a rebound on a Lilly Oliver ’26 shot. Exeter continued to fight back but Deerfield held off the Big Red to finish with a 1-0 win. Izzy Kirby ’26 did a great job communicating in net and Oliver and Haley Abraham ’25 held down the middle defensively. Up next: DA hosts NMH on Wednesday at Deerfield.
