The girls’ jv team took the field at home to face Brattleboro. Early in the game the Bears were awarded two penalty shots and the Big Green found itself down 0-2 at the end of the half. Deerfield slowly began to dig out of the 2-goal hole, scoring a goal quickly and then another from a penalty shot. With very little time remaining, Deerfield mounted a last-minute charge and was able to pop the ball in the net as time expired. Final score: 3-2.
