The Deerfield boys JV tennis team (2-6) lost to Choate Rosemary Hall on May 1st, but the overall match was much closer than those in the past and Deerfield actually had a chance to win late. The matches were all played in an 8-game, pro-set format with ads and the doubles matches, worth one point total, were played first. Deerfield did not get off to a great start, losing all three doubles matches to begin singles play down 1-0. The 3-6 singles matches were evenly split, meaning with the last two still being played, Deerfield were only down 3-2 with a chance to win the overall match by winning both. Unfortunately, Deerfield lost both close matches to lose the overall match 5-2.
