The Deerfield boys JV tennis team (3-6) survived losing 3 match tiebreakers to defeat local rival Bement School in a rare Monday match, on a beautiful spring afternoon at home. The matches were all played in an 8-game, pro-set format without ads. Singles were played first and the doubles matches, worth one point total, were played afterwards. Deerfield won the first two singles matches, but then dropped three straight tiebreakers to fall behind 3-2. Fortunately, they won the last singles match, meaning that the doubles point would decide the overall match. Deerfield won all three of those matches to win the overall match 4-3.
