Saturday, May 4th, Deerfield faced Hotchkiss at home in a big matchup that tested the teams’ resilience and grit. After the first quarter, with back-and-forth play and a pair of free-position goals for DA, the score was tight. However, during the second quarter, Hotchkiss broke away, scoring against the DA defense in various ways and making it challenging for the Deerfield offense to find the seams in the defense. While the score remained skewed till the end of the fourth quarter, DA continued to fight on every play to win possession. Ultimately, Hotchkiss walked away with a 17-3 victory. Next Deerfield plays KUA at home on Wednesday.
