Deerfield’s varsity girls continued their busy week on the tennis courts Wednesday with Suffield visiting. The Doors built on lessons from Monday’s match to put together a methodical and decisive win. Highlights include Nainika Lebaka’s first varsity singles victory. Nainika delivered a bold performance at six singles, earning a 6-0, 6-2 win. Alix Smith won her first singles contest of the season at the fifth position. Alix closed out this win with a gutsy comeback in the final game, down 15-40. Her win sealed the shut out for Deerfield. The day was marked by pleasant weather, great sportsmanship, and fun. The team improves to 3-2 and looks ahead to Phillips Exeter at home on Saturday.
