Tennis (Boys): Varsity vs. Hingswood-Oxford School (04/10/24 2:30 PM)

Event Details

It was a clean sweep for boys varsity tennis, as the team won every completed match against KO at home on Wednesday, 4/10 in the Pavilion.

New doubles pairings at the #2 and 3 spots proved no challenge for the Doors as Molson/Sparacio and Feng/McMahon easily took down their opponents. The #1 doubles team of Li/Weldon found themselves down 2-6 but we were ready to stage a comeback when their match was halted due to DA having already clinched the doubles point.

The domination continued into the singles competition; not a set was dropped in DA’s victory. In fact, KO was only able to win more than 2 games in one set across all six courts! Senior Tom Molson, recently back in the lineup after competing for a National Championship in hockey, needed one set to find his range before tromping his opponent 6-2 in the second set. Both Ethan Li at #1 and Tai Feng at #4 never lost a game in route to their very impressive victories.

With this win, the team now holds a record of 2-1 on the season. Next up is Taft, at home, on Saturday, 4/13 at 3:30pm.
