The Deerfield boys JV tennis team (0-2) dropped their home opener to the Taft School on a cold, blustery afternoon, 6-1. All of the matches were played in an 8 game, pro-set format and singles were played first. Playing in the 3rd position, Thomas Unkles ’25 was the only singles player to win, despite several close matches, and the overall match was decided even before doubles was played. The 2nd doubles team of Finn Knight ’25 and Unkles won the last match of the day, but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome.

The boys JV tennis team will be back in action on April 17th, with a match at local rival Eaglebrook School, starting at 3 pm.
