The Deerfield boys JV tennis team (0-3) played well and had several close matches, but dropped the overall match to local rival Eaglebrook School, 6-1 on a seasonably warm, cloudy afternoon. All of the matches were played in an 8 game, pro-set format without ads and doubles were played first, with the best of three matches counting for one point. Two of the three doubles matches were very competitive, but Deerfield ended up dropping all three to trail 1-0 heading into the singles matches. Once again, Thomas Unkles ’25 was the only singles player to win, despite several close matches.
