The Deerfield boys JV tennis team (0-1) opened their season with a tough road loss to the varsity team at Cardigan Mountain School, 5-4. The team features numerous returners from last season, but also several talented newcomers near the top of the ladder. Against Cardigan, the doubles matches were played first and Deerfield won one out of three to trail by 1 going into the singles matches. Several of the matches went into a third set tie-breaker, but despite some valiant comebacks and rallies, Deerfield were only able to split the 6 matches to drop the overall match.

The boys JV tennis team have their first home match of the season on April 13th, hosting the Taft School for a 3:30 pm start.
