The Deerfield boys JV tennis team (0-4) faced a tough matchup with Andover’s varsity B team on a cool, wet Saturday morning during Family Weekend. All of the matches were played in an 8 game, pro-set format without ads and doubles were played first, with the best of three matches counting for one point. The doubles matches were played in the pavilion, in order to give the outdoor courts some extra time to dry. Andover won all three doubles matches to secure the first point of the match and the singles matches were all then played outside. The Deerfield team played well, despite being overmatched, but were unable to secure any singles victories to drop the overall match, 7-0.

The boys JV tennis team will be back in action on April 24th, still looking for their first win of the season, on the road against local rival NMH, starting at 3 pm.
