Deerfield opened up conference play with a 6-2 win at home against Philips Andover Academy. It was Deerfield’s first win against Andover since 2016. Deerfield managed just 2 hits but capitalized on being walked 11 times. Fletcher Waterman walked 3x and Connor Mudd and Jake Rohan each walked twice. Rohan was also hit by a pitch. SP Conor Niemec kept Andover in check over 6 innings, allowing 7 hits 2 ER and had 5 K’s and 3 BB. RP Tripp Woytowicz pitched the 7th inning and struck out 2 batters.
